Why does My PS2 doesn't work? I mean it shows the picture clear and has sound but it doesn't read the disk

When I restart it it just goes to the System Config. screen and when i put a disk in the reading disk sign at the bottom flash two or three times then goes out.Why does My PS2 doesn't work? I mean it shows the picture clear and has sound but it doesn't read the disk
The motor in your ps2 is burnt out, my ps2 did the same thing, the best thing to do is get another system or another ps2 because the one you have now is dead.
