Once the audio is recorded in poor quality, there is no ';fixing it';.

It is likely the auto mic gain control in your camera could not handle the extremely high audio levels - most camcorders cannot. To deal with that really high volume, you need to have some sort of manual gain control. There are some low-end Sony (MicRefLevel) and Canon (Mic attenuator) consumer cams with a very rudimentary ';Normal'; or ';Low'; gain (for high volume). Better are those like the HV40 with a 12-step manual audio level control - and best are the prosumer and pro external audio controls...

But in your situation, there is no ';fixing'; the audio you already have.
