What speakers have the clearest sound (not hardest hitting or loudest)?

I know there are lots of choices for loudest or hardest hitting speakers out there....but is there a choice for clarity in music...I do want it loud and I want to feel some sort of bass, but I'm not looking to have my windows blown out due to too much bassWhat speakers have the clearest sound (not hardest hitting or loudest)?
wow there are a lot of crappy answers in here. first off bose doesnt make car audio. so reject all of those answers.

jensen is a cheap crappy brand, so throw that out.

from what i've gatherd is all you want is a good sq woofer, with some spl. its a very simple question, i dont know why people are talking about the acoustics of cabin design. lol.

ok i'd highly recomend a Boston Acoustics G5. its the cleanest, clearest, most accurate woofer i've ever heard. and it has pretty good spl as well. if its too much money, or you think its just too big (30 lbs) then go with a Boston Acoustics G2. some other great woofers would be Image Dynamics IDQ, Infinity Kappa Perfect, and Diamond Audio D6.

also if your looking for the best bang for you buck then go with these MB Quarts.

good luckWhat speakers have the clearest sound (not hardest hitting or loudest)?
The speakers that provide the most balanced overall sound (which is what it sounds like you are asking) are the so-called 3-way speakers. These speakers actually have separate drivers for the bass (called ';Woofers';), midrange (called ';Midranges';), and treble (called ';Tweeters';). There are generally two types of 3-way speakers: coaxial; and diffaxial. Coaxial speakers have all 3 drivers centered on one axis, hence the name coaxial. Diffaxial speakers have the 3 drivers mounted together but on different axes, hence the name diffaxial.

In my experience there is not much difference in sound between coaxial and diffaxial speakers. Your choice will depend mostly on which speakers you can get that fit the space you have for them, and on which cost the least money for the given features.

For good bass response, you will want at least one pair of speakers that have adequate-sized woofers. 6'; round or 6'; x 9'; ovals are about the minimum size. If you have enough space, you may want to go with 8'; round speakers. The rule of thumb for bass is, the bigger the speaker, the better. You may even want to consider 10-, 12-, or even 15-inch subwoofers.

If you really want to hear the high pitches well--the triangles in an orchestra, for instance--consider having high-mount tweeters installed either on the front doors or on the dash, on either side of the car. Piezoelectric tweeters are excellent for this purpose. They are compact and rugged, and can produce the high pitches very well with very low amplifier power.

A good way to get more information is to get a book on automotive audio from a local bookstore or library, or from Radio Shack. You can also go to a local car audio store and talk to them. What I've given you should be sufficient to get you started in the right direction.
it is something you have to feger out by your self

because every one have his Owen taste in sound you may take the best

speakers by brand or price (by higher price is better) and not fined what you aime for example some people will say alloy tweeter

have more SQ than a silk tweeter (and you can find tons of people arguingng about it

so the best thing you can do is tell use what is the most kind of music do you Listen to ?

because some brands make the best speakers for a specific kind of music ( and obviously there isn't a perfect speaker out there)

one more thing... Liston to the most speakers you could
If car companies really spent the effort on tweaking the acoustics of a cars speaker system they could reach much higher performance levels. Car cabins are usually very far from the ideal acoustical environment so achieving good audio isn't that trivial.

When I bought my car I got it with a premium Bose system and it provides a fairly transparent sound, loud maximum volume and quite reasonably flat frequency response incl. low bass performance. I can also do a sine wave sweep at high volume from 40Hz and up without hearing all the panels going through their resonance frequencies.

One of the best performing audio systems in cars are those in the high end cars from Audio: http://www.bang-olufsen.com/audi/

A lot of engineering is behind the audio quality in those cars.

The difference between just ';throwing some standard radio and speaker parts'; into a car versus truly tweaking all the important parameters is huge. Anybody can buy some powerful standard subwoofer and make the car shake and vibrate like crazy but that has a very good audio quality.
i agree with the first answer bose yes is a good brand but after a while their cone stars to detiorate, but if you want after market i suggests buying infinity but only for car speakers as far as bass and subwoofers i will have tell you to buy jl audio. They have what I like to call pure bass which is bascially no distortion. here is a website for car speakers, subwoofers, and amplifiers.

Bose - without a doubt.
i have all ways had good luck with Jensen speakers
