i can turn it up to 20 in volume but once it goes past 25ish it isnt clear anymore

i know this is probably a stupid question

i still have to install my subwoofer and amp

i still have stock speakers and short on money

should i get new speakers??New deck...sound isnt clear... should i get new speakers??
It is either the radio's amplifier distorting or the factory speakers are blown.

The sure fix for everything would be to replace the factory speakers and add a 4 channel amplifier to take care of them.

If you only replace the factroy speakers, and do not add an amplifier, be sure to use speakers with a high efficiency rating and rated at low wattage (40-60 watts peak).

Using a power hungry set of speakers that are rated to handle 250 watts will not give you much sound from the head unit alone.New deck...sound isnt clear... should i get new speakers??
probably isn't clear because your speakers can't handle the power your deck is putting out. So the sound is distorting
What kind of car is this? If there is a factory amplifier that it is interfacing with, it could be overdriving the inputs, or it needs an interface module. Or the factory amplifier had to by bypassed to install this radio, and it is lacking the power it had originally. If it doesn't sound as good as the previous radio, I HIGHLY doubt it is overpowering your speakers. Sounds more like underpowering or overdriving to me.
