The plug would be greenish yellow, and quite a large amount. Its probably just discharge. You get alot of it in the last weeks its just cleaning your vagina for the impending birthI am 38 weeks and not to sound gross but when i wiped after going pee I noticed I had a clear whitish dischar?
Towards the end of pregnancy, the baby's head pressing on the cervix can cause discharge. This can sometimes be quite heavy, and may feel as though you've accidentally passed urine.

In the last week or so of pregnancy, your discharge may contain streaks of thick mucus and some blood. This is called a 'show' and happens when the cervical plug (a 'ball' of thick mucus that fills the cervix during pregnancy) comes away. It's a sign that the body is starting to prepare for birth, and you may have a few small 'shows' in the days before you go into labour.

Increased discharge is a normal part of pregnancy, but it's important to keep an eye on it and tell your doctor or midwife if you think it smells or looks unusual, or you have pain, itching or soreness in the vaginal area. You may have an infection such as thrush, which can be easily treated.
Yes, mucous plugs don't always have blood in them. If this helps... Mucous plugs are like thick snot. Gross I know..lol. But that is what it is. Like a hunk of snot. You can lose it all at once or a little at a time for a few days.
The mucus plug is just a big plug of mucus, looks like a big old booger so it might be but only if there was a lot of it, not a little bit.
If it was stringy no, that is just regular discharge. If it was more like a glob, then that sounds like pieces of it is breaking off.
if it was a large amount f mucus yes it could have been although i never saw the mucus plug so i do not know for sure.
if it had a pink tinge ring your midwife immediately, you could be in early labour
