';I just got Adobe Audition just a few days ago to produce a song for our school project. I'm totally new to making recordings and most of my vocal recordings have a noticeable echo. is there any quick way to remove echoes in Audition without harming the voice and quality of the recording? i don't think i can get a better mike soon..';

';Once something has been recorded to WAV, it is impossible to remove..
Well, in some cases, some tedious, ardent, and creative wave editing could remove some of the problem...
The echo might be coming from the speakers.. or your headphones, or slapping off of something. Curtains might not be enough. Just search around your room and try to find what is reflecting.
A crappy microphone is probably not the problem here';
--------------
';Is the echo due to a fx from your soundcard? Or from slap back from reflective surfaces?
If you have a soundblaster, there might be a chance that is where the echo is coming from, just disable it via the controls there.
If it is from your room, and you do not have much money to spend, go to Walmart and pick up some egg crate mattresses, or old rugs from a garage sale to cover the walls of your room. Make sure also the microphone is in a separate room to not get feedback from your speakers.';
