Why we can hear sound of the train very clear at night compare to the daytime?

my teacher ask me about this question...

i can't search anywhere even at wikipedia...

google also didn't help me neither... so please ...

and alitlle more question,,,

at what stage does brain (human beings) could absorb information better according to Tony Buzan??

so,,

please help me...Why we can hear sound of the train very clear at night compare to the daytime?
just like sound travels faster in water than air

sound in fact travels faster in colder air also

maybe because there is less human life during the night making noiseWhy we can hear sound of the train very clear at night compare to the daytime?
Yeah it is just because there is less noise at night. Because if there is a lot of noise then the trains sound waves will be lessened by the time it reaches your ears, compared to if there is no outside noises only the train the sound waves will be quick and clearer.
IN THE STILL OF THE NIGHT
Fewer cars on the road, very few animals making noise at night.
Well, when it is nighttime there are less people awake, there is less noise. During the day, however, people are hurrying everywhere and there is no silence. That's why you can hear the train very clearly at night- there is less ';other'; noise.
because nothing really goes on at night like cars
probably because at night there is less activity then in the daytime. Loud noises tend to...errr... stick out.

I don't know who Tony Buzan is but I think around 3-6 years old is the time when the brain is most like a sponge and easier for learning....look at all young kids learn at that age..it's amazing
I would have to say that it may be due to the fact that the number of other sounds is reduced at night. It's not that the train is louder... it's just that there is less noise being made by other things.... less people driving on roads, etc.
Everything has calmed down at night including you. You aren't deeply involved something which allows you to be more aware of your surroundings.
They blow the horn louder at night so that people won't fall in such a deep sleep they pee the bed.
I'm not a professional at this , but I've got a pretty good idea .

During nighttime , there's a lot less street traffic , and , therefore , less interference with the train noises .

I experience this same phenomenon at home here because I live within 4 blocks of railway tracks .
less noise
Sound needs medium to pass through. How much the resistance it faces the clarity and range decreases. In night less opposition is offered as compared to day time
