How do you strum with the guitar and keep a single chord playing while making it sound loud and clear?

I have an acoustic guitar and want to learn how to keep a single chord playing out loud. Please tell me how you can strum it this way.How do you strum with the guitar and keep a single chord playing while making it sound loud and clear?
Hmmm... Well, the question is a bit odd, but I'll give it a go. The most important thing you can do is to use a pick that is AT LEAST .80 mm, if not 1mm or higher. Secondly, STRUM your strings, don't glide over them. And, of course, you need to excert a good deal of pressure and on your chording hand and maintain that pressure in order to give the chord(s) the proper sustain. And on a side note, larger frets give a guitar a more ';scalloped'; (Malmsteen) feel, and aid in note clarity, but that's pretty expensive. I hope this helps. How do you strum with the guitar and keep a single chord playing while making it sound loud and clear?
um do u mean like be playin one chord, n den switch 2 another chord, w/ the firstr chord still playin? if dats wat u mean, well u cant, the only way u can do this is if the two different chords either share the same placement on the same string n fret, or on the 2 different chords, they r all different strings..... like in songs, those r 2 guitars thaqt r overlaping... or u may b hearing the bass....
make sure your fingers are place correctly and not resting on any other strings. just let it ring til it stops.
Just strum down and let it keep ringing..i think.???
