My dr. listened to my lungs and didn't mention pneumonia, but I am worried because I have some slight wheezing upon breathing in. My oxygen was 99 at the highest and 96 at the lowest. Are there other possibilities for wheezing other than pneumonia? I don't have asthma. I have had a cold for over 2 weeks, why would I be wheezing. If I had pneumonia could my dr. hear it, or would I need an ex ray? Should I get a second opinionMy lungs sound clear and my oxygen level is 97-99, but I am still wheezing, could it be pneumonia?
It could just be bronchitis. Did they give you any medication for it? Sometimes it just lingers on for awhile. It doesn't sound like it's going to hurt you (your oxygen levels are normal). My only worry is that it has lasted for so long. Does your doctor know how long it has lasted? Make sure they know how long you've been sick.My lungs sound clear and my oxygen level is 97-99, but I am still wheezing, could it be pneumonia?
Most probably asthma. Saturation levels don't generally drop until you have seriously restricted airways.
maybe you should try alergy medicine. And after that if that does not work maybe you should get another doctor's opion. Good luck
