I'll start by telling you, that there is always the option of adding aftermarket equipment that will exceed the quality of a stock system in any vehicle whether it's a Cadillac with a high end BOSE system, or a Dodge with a Boston Accoustics system.
Starting off, what type of Cadillac are you looking at? Cadillac's will typically offer two different sound packages. One being their standard system, and the other being their BOSE system. BOSE is going to be an amplified system, so the quality is better than the standard audio system. If looking at a DTS, they offer a BOSE system with surround sound. You can also look into stock navigation.
As far as clarity and bass, that's going to be a personal preference. Your best option is to test drive a vehicle or two, listen to the audio quality, and then maybe head to a car audio store and look at aftermarket equipment.
