I went to 8th notes for flute music and i heard the flute and it sounded amazing! I am not sure if that's like on a keyboard but it sounded clear. Mine doesn't sound like that, what do I do?How do you get a good tone and a clear sound on a flute?
to get a nice clear sound blow hot air into your flute
1. Put your lips together slightly.
2. Tighten the corners of your mouth and keep your cheeks flat
3. leave just enough space between the center of your lips to allow air to pass through.
4.Control the direction of a steady stream of air finding the correct angle that produces sound. This exercise transfers to the flute.
avoid blowing with high speed airHow do you get a good tone and a clear sound on a flute?
Well, for one thing, on 8notes, it's a synthetic flute (keyboard), so yeah...you probably shouldn't try to get that sound, but anyways, you first need the right type of flute. Preferably, you'd want at least an all silver flute with open holes (B or C foot; doesn't change the sound really at all). Then, you have to have the right embouchure: one thing is to imagine that you're blowing ';flat';-ish air. Then, you need to put the lip plate on the right part of your face. Usually people think of putting it on the lips, but you should put it in the little indent under the bottom lip. That would mean that you have to roll out a bit to have your lip cover 1/3 of the hole, angling it so that 2/3 of the air goes into the flute and 1/3 goes out (nto 1/2 and 1/2). Also, the amount of air you use is the same as the tuba, so that means you have to use alot of air.
ive played the flute for almost 4 years.....try pulling out the head joint a little or rolling the mouth piece inward and outward till u find a good tone...... :) if that doesnt work then push down the keys harder to make sure that none of the air is escaping.....and DEFINITELY make sure u have the right fingers down!! lol.......oh ya and say ';TO'; not ';WHO'; to make it more clear
Tone quality is all about air quality, you must use warm air, you must have the correct air speed, and you absolutely have to support your sound!
It all comes from your breathing and your posture. shoulders back, head up, pelvic bone forward. breathe without moving your shoulders up and down through the nose and your mouth to fill up the whole of your lungs and snatch breaths along the way.
well im not quite sure what it is. make sure your covering all the holes, and pushing them down clearly. also, the amount of air. dont push too hard but dont be quiet.
good luck!
dont give up!
have some class, play it off.
try not to show you cant make it clear.
you know the more practice makes perfect..
so just do your best.
give it more attaque in stead of just blowing make a phttttt quind of sond
