Get a sure microphone. But it's not always the mic, unless your recording capabilities are very high quality. Sure mic's are some of the best. Also when you rap, you tend to need a filter screen and sometimes they can be made with certain clothes. Look at Pro Sound or Guitar Center or if you have a good Best Buy store.I rap i need a mic that will give me more clarity i want a clear sound who can tell me what 2 get?
Audio Technica AT3035 is a good mic EVEN more for the price.. I reccomend this for a first mic.. or an upgrade from those MXL 990's lol

My vote: a Shure brand microphone is a good choice.
