How do you get higher notes to sound more clear on a flute, without making it sound to high?

:) Thanks,

Lots of reasons why this could be happening! Get your Flute teacher to check. The usual mistakes are

1) Embouchure Where are you directing your air? The corners of your mouth should be in!

2) Fingering Check your fingering with a reputable chart

3) Breath support! Remember high notes need support!

Lots of other reasons but these are the common ones I see!

You could also try searching Jen Cluff website for more. She is a fabulous flute player/writer who writes articles for flute players! Her website is http://www.jennifercluff.com/How do you get higher notes to sound more clear on a flute, without making it sound to high?
ok, i'll try to help...

on the high notes make sure your not tightening up your lips... this makes the notes go sharp. this was a bad habit that i had that my flute teacher pointed out.

another tip is to pretend your snoopy. you know how he looks over the edge of his dog house like a vulture, well this is how you look at high notes. you have to pretend your looking down on the notes and act like there not too high. this is from my quintet instructor.

hope i helped, good luck fluting!
quick short breaths and tonging also helps. Good luck XD
